I know you answered my question in your tomtoc vid but man, I’m SO torn between this CAS2 and the Tomtoc Aviator 3.5. Both look very good but am interested which would have a better use of pockets and would be more practical. Love your vids by the way. Your honesty is transparent and we benefit from it.

Thanks for the review. Tempted to pick up one in black! Just curious, can you give end-to-end length of the bottom of the bag? I want to make this bag a camera bag by inserting moment everywhere 4L camera cube. But I'm not sure if it will fit length wise.

Great review! I’m between the Slingshifter and the Evergoods CAS2 right now - I’ve watched your videos of both and you seem to be a fan of these two. What’s your preference if you were to pick one? This is will be my first foray into the sling world and I’m looking for something to serve as a mobile diaper bag/edc carry when I don’t need all the space of a backpack.

Uh, I so want external pockets of this sling combined with the rest (big and simple main compartment, size adjusting and magnetic strap) of Bellroy Lite Sling. Plus just attachment points instead of key leash like in Tom Bihns.

You’re killing me Clint. Great review. I already have the Tomtoc Explorer, Navigator, and Wanderer, and now they come out with this one. I’m challenging my wife’s purse collection with my slings. Tomtoc is a much better price point than Burberry and Louis Vuitton.

I just purchased the TomToc wonder sling and it is amazing. I was shocked that it even fits my 11th inch iPad Pro. 😊

I recently picked up Tomtoc’s UrbanEX B11 for my iPad and I’ve been loving it; it’s my everyday sling even when I don’t have the iPad with me because of how versatile it is. I love that the bag rotates with me, its swivel style buckles are the same as the ones on their Wander T21 bag that I also own. 😁

Now this isn't an EDC bag but the Fjällräven Kajka hiking backpacks has has a lid you can make a hip pack out of, and has been like this for years :) It can also be attached to the front where the sternum strap is but has separate buckles.

Hey Klint. I have the Tomtoc Compact EDC. I’m 6’6” and, while I like the horizontal orientation across my chest, I found it just rode too high, even at full extension. If you were looking for something in the 2-ish liter size that was primarily a fanny pack, but could be worn as a sling, what would you recommend?

I think you’ve made me consider this bag over the CAS2, which I really wanted. I have the original tomtoc sling, and the only downside with this new bag is that it still has the same small pockets in the front. They should have copied Bellroy’s new bags and put a vertical separator to have two decent sized pockets. Which would you recommend personally, Evergoods CAS2 or this bag?

Another great video. Would the back pocket fit a larger phone easily? Something like a Samsung Ultra or Iphone max. Phone access is key to me. Thanks!

Oh dang, I'm weak for Tomtocs so I clicked on this LIGHTING fast. Shame it's not in more colours or with the removable strap to double as a gadget pouch, that'd make the 1.5L version a winner for my needs. As it is, it's very pretty but too functionally similar to their EDC to replace my Tomtoc X-Pac EDC. Could see it being a decent niche pick for folks who liked the Wanderer but didn't like the swivel straps (but then you're missing out on the Wanderer's lovely padded strap, the detachable strap, and the grab handle). Fav Tomtoc sling: I'd say the EDC for recommending to folks, but for my needs (11" ipad carry+Switch) it's the Explorer-T21 7L sling bag. Love that one, only recently switched it out for a knockoff Bellroy Venture 9L because of the colours and compression/slim profile.

Help me Klint! I was set on the Alpaka Tech Sling Mini and now I see this. Which should I get for EDC carry?!

Hey Klint i have using the Day Sling 3 X-Pac the smaller version for more than a month and it has revolutionised my EDC. I used to be a Pocketmon, stuffing everything in pants pockets and i even wear cargo pants if i need more pockets. I like the organisation of the sling and i have different loadouts at different times. Its truly my daily sling. This is also my first ever X-Pac and it has been a great help during heavy downpour. I need your thoughts. I am considering either the Tomtoc T21 X-Pac 4.5L or the Day Sling 3 Max X-Pac for heavier loadouts like an iPad mini, DJI Pocket 3, Insta360. Which of the 2 would you lean more towards?

This bag... I don't even like it. You don't really hear reviewers say stuff like that often haha. I really appreciate just plainly stating it like it is!

I actually kinda appreciate no dedicated laptop/tablet sleeve. I don't own a tablet (unless you count a Nook ereader), and if I really can't imagine carrying a laptop in a sling anyways. The whole point is to travel light!

Because of the lack of inside elastics when you swing it from front to back everything moves inside à big no no 😢

Looks exactly like a camera bag idea. Most camera bags have that access area to get into a camera pouch.

Granite Gear Blaze was the first backpack I found that explicitly makes the brain/lid an accessory carry. But there are a few (I think) in the hiking space that probably preceded the Muir. No shade, as I have several Trakke products.
